USDA Central States Print Butter 04/30 15:35
AMS_1089 MARS
Butter - Central U.S.
Released on April 30, 2025
Butter makers are actively churning in the Central region. Contacts say cream
remains plentiful, but increasing seasonal demand from ice cream makers has
drawn inventories down somewhat from early-spring. Cream multiples have
increased slightly at the bottom of the range, but most reported multiples are
at or near flat market. Domestic butter sales are steady, meeting butter
makers' expectations. Spot loads of butter are available, and some contacts say
they are freezing inventories for use later in the year. On Wednesday, the CME
spot butter prices was $2.2950, down 3 cents from a week earlier.
