DTN COMMENTS:  Cattle feeding country is quiet at midday with just a few 
bids in Nebraska being renewed following the last two days of light 
business. Northern dressed deals have been at mostly $353 to $355, $10 to 
$12 higher than the prior week's weighted averages. Southern live sales 
were marked at $230, $6 higher than last week's weighted average basis 
Kansas. It's looking like the bulk of business has essentially been 
completed for the week, although we may see some cleanup trade here and 
there. 

Beef cutouts are mixed at midday (choice 357.26 -0.85, select 344.78 
+1.32) light to moderate box movement (61.32 lds of choice cuts, 8.07 lds 
of select cuts, 15.07 lds of trim, and 4.20 lds of ground). Live cattle 
futures are moderately to sharply lower while feeder issues are sharply 
lower at this time.
